Comprendre les lignes, les angles et leurs relations

Interactive Lines and Angles Visualization

Welcome to the Lines and Angles Explorer

This interactive visualization helps you understand different types of lines (parallel, perpendicular, intersecting) and angles (acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex). Explore angle relationships and measurements.

What you can explore:

  • Line Types: Parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines
  • Angle Types: Acute (<90°), right (90°), obtuse (>90°), straight (180°), reflex (>180°)
  • Angle Relationships: Complementary, supplementary, vertical, adjacent angles
  • Angle Measurements: Real-time angle calculations

How to Use This Visualization

Interactive Features:

  • Select Line Type - Choose parallel, perpendicular, or intersecting
  • Adjust Angles - Change angle values for intersecting lines
  • Toggle Labels - Show/hide angle labels and measurements
  • View Relationships - See complementary, supplementary, and vertical angles

What You'll See:

  • Line Visualization - Different line configurations
  • Angle Arcs - Visual representation of angles
  • Angle Measurements - Degree values displayed
  • Angle Analysis - Type and relationship information

Angle Measurements

Angle 1

0.0°

Type: acute

Angle 2

180.0°

Type: straight

Angle 3

0.0°

(Opposite to Angle 1)

Angle 4

180.0°

(Opposite to Angle 2)

Angle Relationships

Supplementary

Yes

Angle 1 + Angle 2 = 0.0° + 180.0° = 180.0°

Two angles are supplementary if their sum is 180°

Vertical Angles

Yes

Angle 1 = Angle 3, Angle 2 = Angle 4

Vertical angles are always equal

Complementary

No

Sum = 180.0°

Two angles are complementary if their sum is 90°

Adjacent

Yes

Angles share a common side and vertex

All angles at intersection are adjacent

Types of Lines

Parallel Lines: Lines that never intersect. They maintain the same distance apart and have the same slope.

Perpendicular Lines: Lines that intersect at a 90° angle. The product of their slopes is -1.

Intersecting Lines: Lines that cross at a point. They form angles at the intersection point.

Types of Angles

Acute: Less than 90° (0° < angle < 90°)

Right: Exactly 90° (angle = 90°)

Obtuse: Between 90° and 180° (90° < angle < 180°)

Straight: Exactly 180° (angle = 180°)

Reflex: Greater than 180° (180° < angle < 360°)

Angle Relationships

Complementary Angles:

Two angles whose sum is 90°. Example: 30° and 60° are complementary.

Supplementary Angles:

Two angles whose sum is 180°. Example: 120° and 60° are supplementary.

Vertical Angles:

Angles opposite each other when two lines intersect. They are always equal.

Adjacent Angles:

Angles that share a common side and vertex. They are next to each other.
